For most people, September 11 brings to mind melancholy and silent pain. This all started on that horrific Tuesday of 2001.Call it coincidence or fate, but it was on Tuesday, September 11, 1973, when Democracy died in Chile, our homeland. The Military Coup led by Augusto Pinochet changed the lives of millions -- including ours.
My wife and I left Chile separately and came to the United States. Our pilgrimage began in New Jersey. It was there that our daughter Sara arrived into our lives. We then moved to Florida and finally to Lynchburg. In Lynchburg we were blessed with the arrival of our son Vicente... and with a challenge: to provide Lynchburg with a taste of South America.
EASTER ISLAND was born in 1987. As an ever changing place, we realize that the more we become part of the so called "melting pot", the more our business evolves and embraces other cultures.
